It’s only Week 3 of the NFL season and Derrick Henry has already decided a slate by himself. Of course, I wrote him up as leverage in Week 1 — I was just a week early. These kinds of Henry games are just a reminder about how embracing chaos in DFS is so important, much like the Zero-RB draft strategy. Everyone was so sure about Cowboys-Chargers in Week 2 and that game totally busted. If you simply faded that game and stacked the Cardinals-Vikings game or the Seahawks-Titans game you passed so many people in your tournament and most likely finished very well if you play small field stuff. In this series, I am going to walk you through the best game stacks of the week, how to play them and what contests they make the most sense for. I am also going to be identifying the best leverage points on the slate so we can take advantage when the field is wrong.
This is the most important thing in today’s DFS world. Everyone has access to awesome projections and is up to date on the latest news. The key is knowing that the NFL has so much variance, no matter how likely one outcome looks. We need to ask ourselves: if the narrative of the week’s outcome fails, which players will benefit?
