This season, Zachary Krueger will use the RotoViz Screener Tool to evaluate player red-zone opportunity. Understanding how teams deploy their red-zone personnel, and who they give red-zone opportunities to, can offer a valuable edge over your opponents. This weekly Red Zone Report aims to give you that exact edge.
The first week of the NFL season has come and gone, as we now look for ways to improve our rosters over the next 17 weeks of the season. Last season’s red zone reports helped us uncover some under-the-radar players who turned in a handful of useable fantasy weeks thanks to their red-zone production throughout the season.
Jimmy Graham was nearly a poster boy for the series after he drew 20 red-zone targets, and posted 59.2 expected points to go with 63.5 PPR in the red zone.
Then there’s somebody like Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick, who last season recorded 161.2 PPR (WR44) on the year, but was the WR14 in red-zone production (50.5). Ironically, Patrick may find his name back in this article sooner rather than later in light of the unfortunate injury to Jerry Jeudy.
Nevertheless, we are back for another season, of leveraging our red zone knowledge for fantasy points. So let’s get to it!
