Curtis Patrick identifies a handful of dynasty dart throws and a mega priority dynasty waiver wire claim for deep dynasty waivers.
Roster churn is an important facet of being a winning player in dynasty fantasy football. Monitoring NFL Training Camps and the NFL Preseason are two of the best ways to find cheap assets who could end up helping your roster someday.
In deeper dynasty leagues — I define these as leagues where 300 or more players are owned — this is especially important as there are fewer viable players available on waivers or free agency who aren’t already rostered.
You won’t find players like Chuba Hubbard or Rhamondre Stevenson on this list. In deep dynasty leagues, players of this ilk were certainly selected in rookie drafts — and you don’t need me to tell you to claim them. We’re going deeeeeeep.
To be clear, not all of these players should be claimed. You’ll need to assess the needs of your roster to prioritize which positions to target. You’ll also have to weigh the opportunity cost of making a claim — is it worth your FAAB, the player you’ll have to cut, and the roster spot you’ll use? Approach waiver claims with a trade-like mentality to help make your decision easier.
Now, let’s look at the dynasty dart throw menu.
