Nico Collins was drafted by the Houston Texans with the No. 89 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Anthony Schwartz was drafted by the Cleveland Browns with the No. 91 pick. These two athletic marvels land on squads that lacked wide receiver firepower in 2020, but do their profiles offer an immediate impact?
Athletic Profiles
Collins and Schwartz are bound to be lumped together as two of the better athletes in the class. Collins’ 4.43 forty at 6 feet 3 and 215 pounds gives him a Freak Score of 75, putting him in the same range as A.J. Green and Denzel Mims. He was well above average in many other drills as well.
Schwartz, a sprinter who has run the 100-meters in 10.07 seconds, turned in a 4.27 forty at his pro day. Even at just 186 pounds, his forty time gives him a Freak Score of 68. His top athletic comp, Will Fuller, has shown what he can do with that sort of speed when healthy. Schwartz’s other comps have generally not been so successful.
