At the beginning of February, I wrote an article about players whose ADPs could rise and fall in FFPC best ball tournaments prior to the player movement that will take place during free agency. As rumors continue to swirl, and teams make cuts/trades in hopes of finding more salary cap space to work with, we are left to watch the fluctuation of ADPs all offseason.
This article is the second-part of a follow up to that February article. If you have yet to do so, be sure to go back and check out the first recap where I cover quarterbacks and running backs.
Wide Receiver – Riser
Previous: Curtis Samuel, FA – (122.2 ADP, WR46)
There’s been virtually no movement on Curtis Samuel for the last month. His ADP has dipped to 127.5 overall, while he’s been bumped to WR45.
Buy up Samuel while you can, as his bargain value likely only lasts for as long as his free agency does. He’ll be viewed as a high end WR3 or better once he signs with a new team.
New: Diontae Johnson, PIT – (60.9 ADP, WR22)
Last season, Diontae Johnson led the league with 13 drops. He was also an incredibly frustrating player to own, as he exited two games very early, likely costing you your Week 3 and Week 5 matchups.
Big whoop.
At the end of the season, Johnson was still one of the best fantasy WRs you could have rostered. If you discount his Week 3 and Week 5 games in which he played a grand total of 25 snaps, Johnson finished as a top-24 receiver in 54% of his games, and as a top-12 WR in 46% of his games.
