In the final Buy Low Report of the 2020 season, I will identify three players I believe should be targeted and rostered in dynasty leagues this offseason. To select these players, I used the RotoViz Strength of Schedule Streaming Streaming App to look for players who had tough schedules down the stretch (Weeks 13-16) and struggled as a result.
Dallas Goedert
The Philadelphia Eagles made the infamous decision to bench rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts in Week 17 to seemingly ensure a higher draft pick. Potential controversy aside, this team was in disarray for much of the season. As a result, the offense failed to fire on all cylinders. The matchups for Goedert and his tight end teammates were challenging down the stretch, which didn’t help an already anemic offense.
Tight End Strength of Schedule – Weeks 13-16
Goedert struggled with health early in the season and finished as a low-end TE2. However, he already had a top 12 finish at the position under his belt after a TE10 finish a season ago. The Eagles are known to lean on the tight end position, which has resulted in veteran Zach Ertz being one of the premier options at the position for the last several years. Speaking of Ertz, he’s had contract issues with the Eagles on and off throughout the year, and he may have played his last snap in Philadelphia. If Ertz does move on, Goedert is in line to step up as the TE1 on an offense that might look different heading into this offseason and beyond.
