In this edition of Win the Waiver Wire, Curtis Patrick shares his top waiver targets for Week 15 in seasonal fantasy football leagues.
If you’re reading this article, you’ve more than likely reached your fantasy league semifinals round. Congratulations! Let’s bring it home with some timely claims on streamers that could make the difference in the critical final two weeks of the fantasy football season.
*For the purposes of this week’s article, I’ll be using ESPN “percentage rostered” data. To make the most of my time and yours, I only provide analysis for players who are available in around 50% of leagues.
Quarterback
Philip Rivers (available in 75.6% of leagues)
The Fertile One is averaging 22.1 fantasy points per game since Week 6.
Philip Rivers has an eight-game average output that’s right in line with his recent performance against his upcoming opponent, too. Rivers posted 285/2 and 22.05 fantasy points versus the Texans just two weeks ago. His success as a home favorite this season is also encouraging.
If you’d asked me prior to the season whether I’d have dreamed of streaming Rivers in the fantasy semifinals, you’d have gotten firm “no”, but trends absolutely support this play.
