The Process
Before I look at Week 17, it is important to see if my process was successful. Here is a recap of last week’s recommendations. If you need a refresher on what to look for when analyzing defenses, read the first few paragraphs of Streaming Defenses — Week 2 article.
Defense | Sacks | Fumbles | Interceptions | Touchdowns | Points | Week 16 Rank |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Chiefs D | 4 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 6 | T-8th |
Cardinals D | 3 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 4 | T-10th |

Week 17, our final week of the NFL regular season. If you’re still reading this column, I applaud you for still going strong to end the year. Last week’s streaming defensive picks did not go according to plan. The Houston Texans continued to be a hot mess, allowing the Bengals to score over 30 points. The Bengals had not scored over 30 points in a game in over six weeks. The Arizona Cardinals decided that they weren’t interested in winning the NFC West and rolled over against the 49ers. The Kansas City Chiefs didn’t fare any better against a Julio-less Atlanta Falcons. As always the RotoViz Pace App and Strength of Schedule Streaming App will be our main tools, but we’ll be looking at games where teams still have something to play for this week as teams get ready for the NFL playoffs.
