Welcome to the final full College Football DFS Main Slate of the year! Can’t believe we’re already almost done with regular-season college football. This is your one-stop shop for cash and GPP plays for the main slate.
Every single week we build a multifaceted projection model for the main slate of college football to help you find the best plays of the week. If you’ve been following along over the past couple of seasons, we’ve had some crazy high hit rates on our player pools, but if you have questions on Player X versus Player Y, reach out to me on Twitter @FF_TravisM. I’d be glad to help.
So without further ado, let’s dive in.
Quarterback
Quarterback pricing has gotten pretty stingy down the stretch this season. And it’s tough to tell which quarterback to believe in with 14 teams projected to score 26 or more points this week. But there’s still good news! There are three decent GPP diversification plays and a “knock it out of the park” mid-priced option we can trust too.
But before we dive into quarterback – in case you missed it over the last few weeks – we added a new column in our player pool tables: Expected Fantasy Points Over Salary Expectation. It’s exactly what it sounds like and helps communicate how significant a value players are at their price. If you have questions either, feel free to reach out to @FF_TravisM. Let’s get to it!
Now that we have several games of data points for most teams, I’ve included the Points Per Game, Opportunities (completions, carries, receptions) Per Game, and Implied Team Points Z-Score for you to see. Each variable is standardized and scaled so it can be combined and weighted into the overall Model Z-Score. I also use defensive data on their opponents and a couple of other variables too, but for now, you can sort by any of those three variables to get a better picture of why these plays make sense. The implied points stem from the betting line and expected total points outcome for their team. It’s surprising how much weight this carries in end results for individual players.
Let’s check out the top quarterback options this week. The elite options are all crazy pricey, but there are still some values.
