Derek Carr
This is the second time the signal-caller for the Las Vegas Raiders has appeared in this series. His quiet, consistent play often goes overlooked, but Derek Carr has performed well this season. His numbers aren’t flashy, and his current low-end QB2 ranking leaves much to be desired by that’s why he’s a perfect buy low heading into the home stretch of the fantasy football regular season. Efficient and near turnover-free football have kept Carr afloat this season to the tune of 20 fantasy points per game.
Carr is in the top five in both completion percentage and quarterback rating and has only thrown two interceptions on the year. He plays the Kansas City Chiefs this coming week and dropped a season-high 347 yards and three scores in his first meeting with them on the road. His overall upcoming schedule is promising, as well. If you lost Drew Brees or are worried about your current quarterback’s potential health, Carr could be the safe option to get you into the playoffs.

Damien Harris
A third-round sophomore out of Alabama, Damien Harris has come on strong in the ground game over the last several weeks. He totaled over 3,000 rushing yards and averaged more than six yards per carry across four collegiate seasons before infamously totaling four carries in his entire rookie season. This year, he’s stepped up his game and has taken full advantage of Sony Michel’s stint on injured reserve.
Harris has topped the century mark on the ground in three of his last six games and is averaging more than five and a half yards per carry on the season. However, in true Patriot fashion, he has almost no involvement in the receiving game, as shown by his two targets on the season, which happen to be his only career targets. Harris has an intriguing upcoming schedule and could serve as a floor-play for desperate owners. The presence of quarterback Cam Newton in the ground game caps his upside, but owners could do much worse at this point of the year.
