Key Injuries
Alex Mack and Russell Gage have both been limited all week in practice and will be questionable. Julio Jones logged a full participation in practice on Thursday, so expect him to play.
Russell Okung is doubtful for the Panthers. Expect Carolina to be without one of their starting offensive tackles.
Finally, be sure to monitor Christian McCaffrey’s activity leading up to lock.
Pace and Playcalling
Carolina conducts one of the slowest offenses in the NFL, ranking 25th in situation-neutral pace and 22nd in plays per game. With a seven-point lead or greater, CAR moves even slower at 30 seconds per play and they run roughly 50% of the time.
Atlanta plays at a solid pace in neutral situations, but they’ve been running a bit more as of late with a pass rate outside the top 50th percentile over the last four weeks. Best case scenario from a fantasy standpoint for this game would be CAR playing an early lead and ATL being forced to spike the pace upward.
