Just before the start of the 2020 NFL season, the RotoViz staff put together their hottest, fire-iest (?), boldest predictions that will lead us to fantasy championships. So far, some of these #takes seem like hits, while other staff wish they could have a mulligan. Three weeks into the season we have to decide if we’re being shown the new reality or a small sample fluke.
Are we still buying or selling our 2020 Bold Predictions?
Michael Dubner – Will Fuller is a WR1

With 2020 being the year of uncertainty, for some fantasy owners it was perhaps comforting to see some things we are more accustomed to – it took Fuller just two games to follow up a 20 PPR outing with a goose egg. Shawn Siegele recently ranked Fuller as his Rest of Season WR28 with the comment
If you just ignore the inevitable zeroes and injuries, then Fuller looks like the alpha receiver on an offense that could/should go Seattle style.
In the two healthy games this year, Fuller has 15 targets (25.4% target share) with 15-plus PPR points in each game. While we always have to bake in an early in-game exit into his range of outcomes, I don’t like to play fantasy being scared of injuries since every NFL player is injury prone. Fuller is one of the cheapest ways to get exposure to (1) highly efficient downfield targets with (2) a high weekly target projection (3) tethered to an elite QB.
In leagues where you have startable options on your bench, I like riding Fuller’s WR1 ceiling when healthy.
Matt Wispe – Juju Smith-Schuster is the WR1
