D.J. Moore
I’ll admit, it feels strange to be starting with someone like D.J. Moore and tabbing him as a “buy.” He’s been a darling of the devy and dynasty community for several years, and he fits the profile of a true alpha WR1. Last season, he topped 130 targets and 1,100 yards but scored only four touchdowns. This season, he’s struggled to break out in the way fantasy owners expected.
The addition of Robby Anderson has added another weapon to the receiving room, and Anderson has experienced more success thus far.
However, a closer look at the numbers will reveal Moore is on the brink of breaking out. He’s leading the team in targets, sits in the top 10 in the league in targets and air yards, and is 11th in expected points/game.
His upcoming schedule also signifies a monster game could be on the way. A favorable stretch of four weeks is on the horizon, and Moore should be able to take over as the clear WR1 for the Panthers. If Moore’s owners in your leagues are frustrated by his lack of high-end production or are sitting at 0-3, I would be making moves for Moore in redraft leagues.
