Injury Report
The Bengals are extremely banged up on defense, with Geno Atkins being the centerpiece. Atkins has already been ruled out, which could make this a prime bounceback spot for the Browns. On
On the Cleveland side, Greedy Williams has already been ruled out, and Jack Conklin is dealing with both finger and ankle injuries that have kept him limited in practice all week. First-round pick Jedrick Wills has also been limited all week, but the expectation is that he will be active Thursday night.
Pace and Playcalling Tendencies
CLE was playing catchup for practically the entire game, so I’m taking their 23.5 seconds per play in Week 1 with a grain of salt. They only ran 25 total plays in a neutral game script setting as well. It’s worth noting, however, that they threw on over 60% of their script-neutral plays.
Dating back to last year, CIN was a fast-moving team. They’ve moved at 26.6 seconds per snap and have thrown at a 61% clip in 17 games under Zac Taylor. There’s certainly a range of outcomes where this game blows up.
