In NFL DFS Cash Game Core – Week 1, Curtis Patrick shares his DraftKings cash game targets, complete with analysis and visuals from RotoViz tools. Plays listed are based on Sun 1:00 PM slate pricing.
Cash games will anchor my daily fantasy sports (DFS) interests this year. For the purposes of this article series, we’ll be tracking a portion of my weekly cash game entries.
Head-to-heads (45) – $1 for a total of $45
Single Entry Double-Ups – $2, $5, $10 for a total of $17
Week 1 commitment – $62
If you want to get into cash games, I’d recommend creating your own $1 head-to-head entries (it will just be you versus a single opponent) and limiting the maximum number of times an opponent can play you to one. If you want to spread your investment to larger contests as well, be sure to identify the single entry double-up contests.
My NFL DFS Cash Game Core series will outline my favorite cash game plays of the week. I’ll always provide an extra player or two to give you some flexibility since you may want to pivot to a play or two of your own.
NFL DFS Cash Game Core – Week 1
Quarterback
Carson Wentz – $6300
Wentz is my cash game quarterback this week. His QB9 price against the Washington Football Team (WFT) is a bargain. WFT allowed the most fantasy points and fantasy over expectation (FPOE) to opposing quarterbacks over the final five games of 2019.
Wentz’s game splits against WFT as compared to all other opponents also tell a story of matchup success, not only last season, but over the duration of his career.
The Eagles are favored by 6.5 this week. Wentz has typically delivered the goods when he’s a heavy favorite, averaging nearly 24 PPR in such contests over his career.
