The second major of the calendar year brings us to Mamaroneck, NY, to the famous[1] Winged Foot Golf Club. It is a long par 70 course. It clocks in this year at just under 7,480 yards. There are 70 bunkers that the field will have to deal with and water will come to play on two holes (15 and 16). Our new optimizer/simulator combo produced some great results last week. We’ll be looking to build upon that as we head into this year’s U.S. Open.
Top of the Board
There aren’t any real surprises at the top of the board. Despite having the second-highest salary, Jon Rahm ($11,000) still finds his way into the optimal lineup 16% of the time (800 out of 5,000 sims).
