The 2020 wide receiver class has a chance to be special. But one of the guys who figures to make it so special is currently almost free. His ADP is 167.9 in FFPC redraft leagues, which is later than guys like Parris Campbell, Sammy Watkins, Breshad Perriman, and Michael Pittman. I’m talking, of course, about Laviska Shenault.
Shenault the Prospect
Shenault exploded on the scene with a 46% Dominator Rating in his second season. He was also a highly regarded prospect in most devy leagues — Travis May had him as his fifth overall prospect before the 2019 college football season.
Unfortunately, injuries hurt him in his last year of college, but not so much that he couldn’t manage one of the best lists of top comparable players the RotoViz Box Score Scout has ever seen.
The comparison to Juju Smith-Schuster is especially notable, as he was also a highly ranked devy player, but fell down on draft boards due to a lackluster final season. Smith-Schuster was drafted 62nd overall by the Steelers in 2017 while Shenault was picked even earlier, at 42nd overall.
