The sheer volume of injuries from Week 2 is probably something you’re sick of hearing about, especially if you were “lucky” enough to get the 1.01 or 1.02 in your redraft league. That’s the beauty of DFS, though, right? We take on each slate in a vacuum and don’t have to worry about waivers and injuries from week to week.
Pittsburgh (-4) vs Houston
Houston has been one of the slowest teams in the league through two weeks. They’ve run just over 75% of their plays while trailing, yet still aren’t showing the sense of urgency that most teams show when falling behind. It could be another week of catch-up for the Fighting Bill O’Briens when they face off with the Diontae Johnson ($5,400)-led Steelers.
He’s seen the sixth-most expected points of any wide receiver in the league. Johnson has almost 14 more expected points than JuJu Smith-Schuster ($6,600). That’s a sizable gap through two games. For reference, Christian Kirk, Jarvis Landry, and Laviska Shenault have all seen about 14 receiving expected points so far this season.
Week 1 was a simpler time with the Texans. David Johnson ($5,400) was “back.” Will Fuller ($6,000) was seeing double-digit targets as the heir apparent to DeAndre Hopkins. The pair of Johnson and Fuller combined for nearly 40 PPR Points. In Week 2, they combined for exactly 7.0.
