Football is back! It’s been a long, crazy offseason, but we have our first main slate of 2020 kicking off on Sunday. That means the lobby is full of everything from H2Hs to the Milly Maker. We’re going to change things up a bit this year for the DK Buffet and narrow in on the plays we want to make and stats we should notice. Some weeks that’ll mean the top eight or ten team plays, other weeks it’ll mean every game on the main slate. Without further ado, let’s jump in!
Baltimore (-8.5) vs. Cleveland
The Ravens are implied to score 27.75 points this week, the highest total on the board at most books. There is plenty of scoring to go around with the Baltimore offense. Lamar Jackson ($8,100) broke fantasy last year.
There are a few stacking options in GPPs. Marquise Brown ($5,100) and Mark Andrews ($6,000) were on the receiving end of nearly 40% of Lamar’s passing attempts. It was a concentrated target tree in 2019 in Baltimore, and I don’t see that changing much to start 2020.
San Francisco (-7.5) vs. Arizona
Arizona’s defense was historically bad against tight ends in 2019. It provided many opportunities, even for the cheapest of TEs. They start the year with one of the biggest tests at the position in George Kittle ($7,200). Kittle is in a tier of his own as far as price is concerned on DraftKings this week, with a $1,200 cushion to Andrews. He saw some of the most valuable work at the position in 2019.
