As we inch closer to the start of the season, many redraft leagues start to have their seasonal drafts. Regardless of your league format, one of the many roster decisions you will have to make is when to take a quarterback. There seem to be two major trains of thought in single quarterback leagues: pay up for an elite option (Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes) or draft a quarterback late and potentially stream the position.
If you fall into that second camp and want to draft a quarterback late in your draft, there are several options for you. Using the RotoViz Strength of Schedule Streaming App (SOS), I’ve identified three quarterbacks who have promising early-season schedules (Weeks 1-8) and are going later in drafts.
Jared Goff – Redraft ADP QB18
It feels weird to start with Jared Goff in an article designed to identify streamable options at the quarterback position. Last season, he led the league in passing attempts, he was second in passing completions, and he was third in passing yards. Over the past three seasons, he’s never finished outside of the top 13 and has averaged more than 20 points per game.
