The Guy Behind The Guy: RotoViz’s Favorite Backup Pass Catchers in 2020

Welcome to the second part in our series looking at players who could be absolute superstars in 2020 … if only the player(s) ahead of them on the depth chart would just get out of the way.

In the previous edition of The Guy Behind the Guy, we looked at backup running backs that our writers are particularly high on, and would rally behind if they could only secure a larger workload. You can find that piece here, and I heartily recommend that you read it.

Here, we look further down the field at pass catchers who, while not as starved of opportunity as RBs in the modern NFL, are still not able to command an elite target share at present. But despite this, these are players the RotoViz writers have faith in, and should things break right for them (or badly for their teammates) our scribes believe that good things are in store for them.
