There is no position in the NFL with a steeper learning curve than that of tight end. Players at that position come into the league and are expected to not only learn how to run NFL routes but also block NFL defenders. Is there little wonder then that rookie stars at this position are so hard to find?
Some people still make the mistake of bailing on a young TE too soon, both in the “real” world and also in fantasy football. Dynasty managers can often find themselves staring at a player on their roster, conjuring up fantasies about what they could do if only that roster spot was freed up. They then go and do something quite rash like taking pennies on the dollar for a player who could be about to finally emerge.
One player who may be engendering such feelings from his dynasty owners at the moment in Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku. I am here to tell you why if you have him you should hold onto him, and if you can get him cheaply, you should do so. There will never be a better time.
