We previously looked at the risers and fallers in the world of high stakes best ball. Now let’s turn our attention to those who get their kicks over at Fanball. The platform is different, and so are the players who have become more popular in recent weeks. Here are six Fanball ADP risers on three different teams who have seen their stock rise over the last fortnight.
ADP data is for the period of April 2-April 16.
RB DeAndre Washington
It may have escaped the attention of most NFL fans, but DeAndre Washington enjoyed a career season in 2019 for the Oakland Raiders. Washington had a career-high 108 rush attempts, earning 387 yards and scoring three touchdowns. He also added 292 yards on 36 receptions, two more career marks. His form at the end of the season saw him post top-12 fantasy numbers in three of the last four games in 2019.
But let’s be honest: his end of season play is not the reason that his ADP has risen over the previous two weeks. On April 8th, it was announced that Washington had signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. This move reunited him with his old college quarterback Patrick Mahomes and boosted his ADP by nearly 20 spots.
Washington has shown that he can flash when the given opportunity, but a lot would have to go wrong for him to be a weekly fantasy option. His current ADP of RB66 makes sense. He will be behind Damien Williams on the Chiefs, assuming he makes the final 53-man roster. But even if (when?) Williams were to miss time in 2020, it is not a guarantee that Washington would step into a feature back role, with Kansas City among the teams most likely to draft an RB. But as an 18th-round flier with upside? I can live with that.
