Marshawn Lynch surprised the league with an abrupt retirement prior to the 2016 season, and then proceeded to surprise again by returning for 2017. During last year’s campaign, Lynch rushed for a respectable 891 yards and seven touchdowns while posting a 4.3 yards-per-carry average. After a disappointing season for Oakland, Jack Del Rio was fired and Jon Gruden was brought in, and with him has come an influx of new blood. Among the newcomers is one Doug Martin who, when healthy, has been dominant. The last couple of seasons have not gone well for Martin, but the difference in ADP between Lynch and Martin and the range of possible outcomes makes Martin a better buy.
