Daily Fantasy NASCAR: Chicagoland Recap, New Hampshire Preview

Sunday’s race at Chicagoland was the first race for NASCAR’s Chase for the Sprint Cup, and Denny Hamlin overcame a torn ACL, a 29th starting position, and a spin on lap two to punch his ticket into the second round of the Chase. I had Hamlin in two-thirds of my lineups, but even that couldn’t help me overcome the wreck Kevin Harvick had after a tangle with Jimmie Johnson during a three-wide battle for the lead. The 42nd place finish by Harvick cost me dearly in daily fantasy NASCAR terms. Harvick will need a bounce back performance this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway to have any shot at avoiding elimination in the first round of the Chase. We’ll preview what to expect from that race from a fantasy perspective.
