I just finished a series of articles on the relationship between targets and wide receiver ADP ranks. I was able to identify receivers that were under- and overvalued based on how many targets the RotoViz staff were forecasting in our Projection Machine App. I wanted to do something similar for running backs, but there isn’t a single number like targets we can use as a proxy for fantasy scoring opportunity. We certainly can’t just use rushing attempts because RBs score on the ground and through the air. Plus, we’re using PPR ADP ranks, making receiving production that much more important.
