Each week the multitude of experts that submit rankings to Fantasy Pros have their rankings combined into what Fantasy Pros calls the Expert Consensus Ranking. It’s a great place to find potential value ideas for any format, daily games included. Each week we’ll do a quick rundown of players that have a higher ranking on the Fantasy Pros ECR than would be implied by their salary at the daily sites.

Note that you can also use our Daily Game and GLSP Apps to generate your own lineups in conjunction with these value ideas. And definitely check out the DFS Cheat Code series for more expert daily game analysis. Several players mentioned there also are good values based on the methodology used here (Terrelle Pryor, Josh Gordon, and Victor Cruz).

Some notes about this table:

  • ECR: Expert Consensus Rank: Where does this player rank among all players at his position? Based on the excellent player ranks found at Fantasy Pros.
  • Salary Rank: The player’s salary rank at FanDuel
  • Difference: The difference between the player’s ECR and Salary Rank. Lower numbers indicate that the experts think the player is under priced.

Here are the players, along with some recommendations.

DeSean JacksonWR1117-670003 -HighGetting a ridiculous percentage of Philly’s WR targets, against a soft defense that’s given up a league-high 10 passing TDs.
Matthew StaffordQB411-785003 -HighFigures to be a shoot out in Green Bay. Stafford has gotten good pass protection this year, and is passing at a career high rate of efficiency.
Brian HoyerQB1818061003 – HighEven cheaper than Pryor, playing a poor BUF defense, with two good receiving options in Jordan Cameron and Josh Gordon.
DeMarco MurrayRB811.5-3.576003 – HighSee Romo. Murray is well involved in the pass game and should see plenty of touches.
Eric DeckerWR1324.5-11.565003 – HighCheapest of the 3 DEN WRs, but with virtually the same number of targets, and the most catches and yards in the past 3 games.
Josh GordonWR1428-1463003 – HighSee the DFS Cheat Codes article. Bargain Price, Booming Upside.
Philip RiversQB618-1274003 – HighOne of the most favorable QB/Def matchups of the week.
Terrelle PryorQB1329-1666003 – HighSee the DFS Cheat Codes article. Bargain Price, Booming Upside.
Tony RomoQB913-482003 – HighA good QB on any day, has a healthy Dez, going against the highest scoring team in the league. Dallas should be passing all game long.
Victor CruzWR410-675003 – HighThe best NYG option against a terrible defense. A starter in the DFS Cheat Code series.
Eddie LacyRB1234-2260002- MediumA risky play, as there’s only one game of data to go on. Still, with Starks out, facing a Lions’ defense that is 30th in yards/attempt allowed and 31st in rushing TDs allowed, Lacy has some appeal.
Eli ManningQB1129-1866002 – MediumHave you noticed yet that every NYG player makes this list? That’s because the Philly defense is awful, but their offense is good enough to keep the other team trying to score. Can ALL the NYG really have good games against Philly? Maybe, maybe not. But if any of them are going to, it has to start with Eli.
Bilal PowellRB1321-866001 -LowSimilar to Gore, his low price is offset by his low ceiling. Atlanta has allowed less than 100 yards/game rushing.
Brandon MyersTE1444.5-30.545001 – LowDespite a great matchup against Philly, TE is really all about Jimmy Graham. If you’re not keeping up with him, it’s difficult to win. Myers has also slid down the Expected Points chart in recent weeks. Cruz & Nicks seem like better options.
Charles ClayTE1544.5-29.545001 – LowHere’s the deal: If you’re not playing Graham, try to maximize your $ saved by taking the cheapest viable TE. Either Myers or Clay works, but I prefer Clay due to the higher catch rate and yards/catch.
David WilsonRB1844.5-26.556001 – LowNot for the faint of heart. But if you really want to go cheap, Wilson should get more touches with Da’Rel Scott gone, against a weak defense.
Frank GoreRB716-969001 – LowFacing a good defense, and despite his low cost is only projected to score about half as many points as the high-end RBs.
Greg OlsenTE79.5-2.561001 – LowIf you’re not playing Graham at TE, you may as well go for Myers or Clay, who are even cheaper and also have good matchups.
Hakeem NicksWR2036.5-16.559001 – LowPhilly presents a great breakout opportunity, but Nicks is being out-targeted by TE Myers and has an abysmal 48% catch rate so far.
Jared CookTE1114-356001 – LowIf you’re not playing Graham at TE, you may as well go for Myers or Clay, who are even cheaper and also have good matchups.
Julius ThomasTE46.5-2.564001 – LowIf you’re not playing Graham at TE, you may as well go for Myers or Clay, who are even cheaper and also have good matchups.
