A Freak Score is just a simple way to describe succinctly the mix of size and speed that a WR has. It’s similar to numbers like HASS, the Megatron Index and Catch Radius in that regard. The Freak Score can be calculated with the following formula: 239.74 + (HT*2.14) + (WT*0.63) – (FORTY*104.52).
But in case you don’t like math, there’s a tool below that will do the heavy lifting for you.
The result will be a scaled number (0-100) that has a rough fitting relationship with a prospect’s potential to score touchdowns in the NFL. In selecting the variables for the formula I tried to keep it simple so that a score could be calculated for almost all prospects.
