2018 NFL Draft Prospect: Cam Phillips

Cam Phillips missed the Camping World Bowl due to a recent sports hernia surgery. One of the more underrated wide receivers in college football, Phillips is considered to have good hands, mental toughness, route running ability, and the athletic ability to create yards after the catch. He also has very good athletic ability to create yards after the catch. The Hokies ended up losing 30-21 to the Oklahoma State Cowboys. This was not the end that Phillips envisioned for his collegiate career, but his legacy is cemented by being the Hokies’ all-time leader in receptions with 236 and 3,027 receiving yards. Many NFL Draft analysts project Phillips as a Day 3 selection. He will have an opportunity to move up draft boards this spring, but the progress Phillips make with his rehab will dictate how far. Can his metrics match up to the hype?
