2018 NFL Draft Prospect: Kalen Ballage

On December 29, Kalen Ballage and the Arizona State Sun Devils will look to send lame duck head coach Todd Graham out with a win against the N.C. State Wolfpack in the Sun Bowl. The 6-foot-2, 220 pound senior running back has been hotly debated among dynasty circles for sometime now. Is his relative lack of production a serious enough strike against him to hinder his NFL chances?

As a senior at Falcon High School in Peyton, CO, Ballage rushed for 1,943 yards and 25 TDs while adding 360 receiving yards and six more scores. Questions about level of competition are fair as Colorado is not generally known as a hotbed for high-level high school football talent. He was ranked as a four-star athlete according to 247 Sports as the third-best player in the state of Colorado. Ballage received numerous scholarship offers from Pac-12 teams as well as some national interest from Michigan, Oklahoma, and Nebraska.
