Ultimate Zero RB Watch List – AFC Week 9

The Ultimate Zero RB Watch List helps you keep track of every backfield development in the AFC and provides a wealth of weekly and seasonal advanced stats. Last week, we took a second attempt at tiering and ranking our Zero RB candidates, separating those who still hold potential as league winners from the rest of the pack. Aside from some jostling for position, those ranks remain largely the same, so this week we’ll hone in on the interesting backfield battles¬†that could still determine fantasy championships. The trade deadline approaches, and our goal over the next few weeks will be to identify backs who could be sneaky targets in a swap, as well as explore options to upgrade your RB2 slot. Let’s dig in to the most intriguing backfield situations in the AFC.

  1. Cheers Will.

Yeah I think that is a good assessment. He seems to be trending in the wrong direction as far as usage, to the point where he is probably just a straight handcuff now.

I'm holding in a handful of Apex leagues another week as well.

  2. @Cort speaking of Zero RB candidates, the Derrick Henry owner is interesting in trading him away. any ideas on who to offer from my roster below?

    QB Dalton & Stafford
WR K Allen, R Matthews (traded away for Sammy Watkins), Funchess, Marvin Jones (keeper), Marqise Lee, Juju S-S, John Ross
RB Mixon, DeM Murray, Abdullah and D'Onta Foreman
    TE Gronk and Brate (keeper)

Full PPR. 3 X WR default, plus 2 x FLEX (W/R, W/R/T). Minimum 1 x TE. Typically start 5 WR if everyone is available.

My initial thoughts were maybe Marqise Lee straight up (he is in need of WRs).

  3. Does he need a TE? Would he do Brate straight up? I know he's a keeper, but OJ should take over next year and you have a stud TE.

When you can start 5WRs, I'd be hesitant to trade away someone like Lee... or any WR depth, really. That said, it's not a bad deal if you can get it. Henry obvs has way more upside. Abdullah is tempting, just because he never scores TDs and has little upside.

  4. @cort this is kind of the issue. He only really needs WRs as he has loads of RBs and Engram at TE (arguably better than Brate in his eyes).

Also I need Brate for Gronk's bye this wk. I don't mind moving him after but there's some rubbish on the waiver wire at TE.

I'm not sure if I need DH so badly as to give up a valuable WR. Unless I tried to swing an AA & Lee for Henry and Sterling Shepherd trade. I wouldn't go for that if I were him though. Crazily he also has DJ, Mack, Collins, McCaffrey, Freeman and AP rostered!

  5. Awesome. We're glad to have you aboard and being so engaged.
