Elevated expectations are often the precursor to disappointment. Heading into last weekend, the Florida State/Alabama game was billed as the biggest opener in college football history. Instead of a matchup for the ages, we got a (somewhat) typical Alabama slow-burn win and a devastating injury to Florida State quarterback Deondre Francois. There were other injuries which we’ll dive in to shortly, as well as a preview of a very strong upcoming slate of games featuring some top-end devy talent.

  1. No Jonathan Taylor or does he enter the lineup next week? Freshmen RB starting and already has size and speed (215 lbs and ran a 10.6 100m) Barring injury, he will rocket up one of the charts as the season goes on.
