Navigating 3 Tricky Start – Sit Decisions for Week 3

I’m back again to offer a helping hand to those struggling with start/sit decisions. Please note, these start/sit recommendations are intended for PPR scoring.

Week 2 in Review

Golden Tate > Dez Bryant: L

Well, I’ll take this one on the chin, but the stats all supported Tate’s case. This was a clear example of game script truly dominating a start/sit decision as Bryant was force-fed with 16 targets and hauled in a TD. The Lions had no reason to use any of their receivers as the Giants anemic offense made this a fairly easy win for the Lions.

Zach Miller > Austin Hooper: W

Hooper flopped, and I took my own advice here and benched him in most of my leagues. Zach Miller didn’t explode by any means, but eight PPR points are far from the worst game a TE2 can give you. Hooper should fare better this week but he’ll be inconsistent due to his low target share (seven percent).

Mark Ingram > C.J. Anderson: L

<insert crying face here>. I really wasn’t expecting 2015 C.J. Anderson to emerge last week, but boy was I wrong. Justin Simons advises owners to sell now. The high-scoring matchup, combined with AP’s imminent loss of playing time made Ingram an enticing option in PPR formats. If you took this advice last week, I’m sorry.
