3 Bold Predictions for Week 3

“I never saw it coming.” In this bold predictions series, we’ll look at weekly matchups, using history as a contextual backdrop – as well as in-season trends – in order to unearth the unexpected events that have a chance at coming true. Last week marked a breakthrough in Bold Predictions. We are on the board after predicting that Le’Veon Bell wouldn’t finish as an RB1. He finished as the RB17. That brings me to 1-6 (16.6 percent) on the season.1 A quick look at what went wrong:
  • Cody Core went from Air Yards hero in Week 1 to a zero in Week 2.
  • I faded the “Tom Brady is angry” game and look suitably foolish as a result.
  • Julio Jones and Jordy Nelson didn’t combine for 250 yards, but Nelson leaving early with a quad injury wasn’t helpful.
On to Week 3 and breakout games on the way for two RotoViz favorites, as well as a classic hit from Eli Manning.
  1. For reference, I would be happy to finish the season at around the 20 percent mark.  (back)
