In one of the most exciting days this offseason, the Buffalo Bills traded away Sammy Watkins to the Rams and acquired Jordan Matthews from the Eagles. Matthews is a player who has exceptional talent and has flashed his potential but is coming off a relatively down year. Many fantasy owners are now asking themselves where Matthews stacks among his peers and how early they should feel comfortable drafting him in 2017. Before the trade, Matthews was going as the WR50 in best ball drafts. His position was primarily suppressed because of his inability to perform at a high level with Carson Wentz in 2016 combined with the addition of Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith. His new position instantly slots him into the WR1 role for the Bills; we just need to determine what exactly that means regarding volume and efficiency.
