How it Works

Just like last year, we’ll be using FantasyLabs Plus/Minus metric to score our picks. The goal for our individual competitors is to recommend players eligible for each week’s Milly Maker slate that will accumulate the highest Plus/Minus. Plus/Minus is a measure of the amount by which a player exceeded his expected points. Higher Plus/Minus players are more likely to help you take down a GPP like the Millionaire Maker.

The new twist for this year is that we’ll adjust each player’s Plus/Minus based on their ownership. The adjustment multiplier we’ll use is:

(1-ownership)^(1/3) * plus/minus score

A lightly-owned player that gets a Plus/Minus of 10 will benefit more from the multiplier than a heavily-owned player who also gets a Plus/Minus of 10.
Example: A 30 percent-owned player who scores a +10 only gets 8.88 points, whereas a one percent-owned player who scores a +10 gets 9.97 points.

The prognosticator with the best total adjusted Plus/Minus at week’s end will pocket a handsome cash prize, courtesy of FantasyLabs and RotoViz. Along the way, you, dear reader, will benefit from the recommendations made. Make sure to check out not only the RotoViz Apps but the suite of FantasyLabs tools, to build your own lineups.

If you’re curious about how this works, check out the results from last season. On average, our analysts produced 12.9 points of Plus/Minus each week. That’s almost 13 extra points in your GPP lineups. Our analysts’ recommendations produced positive Plus/Minus results in 77 percent of Millionaire Maker slates.
