DraftKings Week 17 Plays of the Week

Writer QB RB WR TE DEF Commentary
Aaron Butler Kirk Cousins Brandon Wilds Steve Smith Jared Cook Atlanta Defense It’s not a great matchup for Smith but for the price, we can hope he ends his career with a bang.
Anthony Amico Matthew Stafford DeAngelo Williams Davante Adams Jimmy Graham Atlanta Defense After last week’s monster performance by Jordy Nelson, Fantasy Labs has him projected for at least double the ownership as Adams. With Darius Slay now practicing, I would expect him to shadow Nelson, giving Adams the best matchup on the field for a Rodgers-led offense that has been on fire for weeks.
Ben Bauer Matt Ryan Dion Lewis Jordy Nelson Eric Ebron Kansas City Defense Ebron trails only Travis Kelce in +/- for TEs on FantasyLabs, and faces a bottom tier defense vs tight ends.
Ben Gretch Aaron Rodgers Ronnie Hillman Davante Adams Travis Kelce Washington Defense Melvin Gordon is three yards from 1,000, so I expect him to be active, but to play not much more than necessary to get his milestone. Enter Ronnie Hillman, who faces a motivated KC team, but who I expect to see a very big workload with Kenneth Farrow on IR. He’s cheap, should go very low owned if Gordon’s active, and I’m projecting something like a 75 percent snap share.
Blair Andrews Russell Wilson Isaiah Crowell Jamison Crowder Jimmy Graham Buffalo Defense Seattle is fighting for a first-round bye against a San Francisco team that allows opposing teams to run many extra plays. Graham should see more targets with Lockett out, and stacking Wilson with Graham makes for a nice pivot off of Doug Baldwin, whom FantasyLabs currently projects to be owned in 21-25% of lineups.
Curtis Patrick Aaron Rodgers Darren Sproles Steve Smith Eric Ebron New England Defense Per the FantasyLabs Points vs. Expectation tracker, Ebron has exceeded his implied total in 85% of games this season and is averaging a +/- of 4.07 per game. He went for 5/69 against GB in their first meeting and I expect him to eclipse both totals this week.
Drew Heinl Matt Ryan Thomas Rawls DeAndre Hopkins Travis Kelce Arizona Defense Hopkins had 17 targets two weeks ago with Savage as QB. Everyone was on him last week and he disappointed. Now he’s in a dream spot and he’s going to be low owned.
Eric Braun Blake Bortles Darren Sproles DeAndre Hopkins Coby Fleener Minnesota Defense The Falcons present a great matchup for Fleener who had a fantastic outing against them in the early season meeting. Fantasy Labs has the matchup as a +/- of 4.4 and I like the swing for the fence here with Fleener.
Jacob Rickrode Drew Brees Demarco Murray Golden Tate Antonio Gates Washington Defense Brees is 142 passing yards shy of 5000 and 5TDs short of 40 on the season. Should be a shoot out in a game where the outcome will affect Atlanta’s playoff spot.
Jason Lewis Kirk Cousins David Johnson Jordy Nelson Eric Ebron Kansas City Defense Eric Ebron has the highest bargain rating of any full-time TE this season at 86 percent, and he comes with a robust 5.5 projected plus/minus against a Packers team he roasted earlier this season.
John Gambill Matthew Stafford Rob Kelley Golden Tate Charles Clay Arizona Defense Playing Clay feels a bit like chasing last week’s stat line, but really it’s a volume play. FantasyLabs’ game log shows that he’s averaged almost eight targets per game since week 14.
Matt Wispe Matt Ryan Ty Montgomery Jordy Nelson Martellus Bennett Pittsburgh Defense Using the Fantasy Labs Ratings tool, Matt Ryan is ranked with the highest projection and ceiling at the third highest cost. For the season, Ryan ranks third in +/-.
Mike Beers Matthew Stafford Tevin Coleman Jamison Crowder Travis Kelce Cleveland Defense Pittsburgh is expected to sit Ben, Bell and Brown (among others) to get healthy for the playoffs. Cleveland is not good, but they are the cheapest option and face a practice squad. Could be a sloppy one.
RotoDoc Russell Wilson Jacquizz Rodgers Steve Smith, Sr. Jimmy Graham Washington Defense Graham has the third highest projected ceiling per FantasyLabs despite the sixth highest price tag. He also comes in with eight pro trends, and should be a contrarian play due to the rest of the industry gravitating toward Kelce and Ertz.
Shawn Siegele Alex Smith Zach Zenner Jarvis Landry Travis Kelce Arizona Defense Zenner’s salary remains extremely palatable after his breakout game, perhaps in part due to a matchup with a stout GB run defense. However, we know from FantasyLabs, that GB’s opponent plus/minus is 0.8. Combine that with Zenner’s projected plus/minus of 4.3 and we get a lot of upside at very little risk.
Tyler Buecher Aaron Rodgers Darren Sproles Cameron Meredith Martellus Bennett New England Defense The Dolphins are allowing a massive +6.5 Plus/Minus to opposing TEs and Martellus Bennett has seven Pro Trends in his favor. He went off for a 5-114-1 stat line in their previous matchup and he owns the fourth-highest ceiling at the position this week.
