Using QB Regression to Find RB Targets

benroethlisberger Recently, Patrick Kerrane published a must-read article on what rookie quarterbacks mean for the fantasy prospects of their running backs. If you haven’t already, go read it. I’ll wait. One of his findings was that RB fantasy production is positively correlated with their QB’s adjusted yards per attempt (A/YA). Basically, as a QB’s real efficiency increases, so does their RB’s fantasy production. I decided to explore this a little further.
