The Waiver Wire Update
This is a quick post because the waiver wire is pretty void of real value this week and also if you have a playoff team, it’s unlikely that any of the guys available can help you. Probably the most relevant player would be Kirk Cousins for any Aaron Rodgers owners who might need insurance.
Good luck in the Championship round for any teams still alive.
|Jennings, Greg WR MIN||It’s more than possible that Jennings is on the wire in your league and I suppose he’s a decent pick-up. Maybe you even pick him up because you don’t want your opponent to get him. But the Vikes do not have another cush matchup this week, so I think it’s unlikely that you would end up starting him.|
|Caldwell, Andre WR DEN||Move along, nothing to see here. The odds are that Welker will be back and Caldwell will be obsolete.|
|Cousins, Kirk QB WAS||If Cousins happens to be on your waiver wire and you’re an Aaron Rodgers owner then I think Cousins would be great insurance. WAS gets the inept DAL defense this week.|
|Patterson, Cordarrelle WR MIN||Patterson might be on your wire but I’m having a tough time thinking about the kind of team you would have to have in order to be alive in the playoffs and also not have a better option than Cpat|
|Asiata, Matt RB MIN||Asiata is straight insurance as the return of either Peterson or Gerhardt would make him irrelevant.|
|Jones, Marvin WR CIN||This is kind of an interesting name because the Bengals do get a really cake matchup with MIN this week and it’s typically been the #2 WR that’s gone off against them. But… the reality is that Jones’ value is limited to being a GPP flier in daily leagues this weekend.|
