Zac Stacy Goes No. 11 – Still Underrated

Many of you know the RotoViz Dynasty League draft is in full swing. (For a review of the veteran draft, check out my wrap-up and find out who went No. 1.) While RotoViz favorites like Le’Veon Bell, Christine Michael, and Knile Davis were flying off the board early in the rookie-only portion, Zac Stacy surprisingly fell to No. 11.

In case you weren’t following our pre-draft coverage, Stacy has the best athletic comparables of any back in the draft. Much more explosive and athletic than most draftniks suggested, he’s a dead ringer for Ray Rice and Doug Martin.

Jon Moore delved into his stats against SEC competition and conclusively showed that Stacy was at least the equal of Eddie Lacy, Knile Davis, and Marcus Lattimore in tilts against the best teams in the country.

Matthew Freedman reports on how Stacy is bigger than you think and draws a compelling parallel to Arian Foster.

Ryan Rouillard does sound a note of caution as Stacy’s RB Dominator Rating and draft status wave red flags.

Nevertheless, this isn’t a particularly deep rookie pool. The Top 7 seems pretty well set in most leagues, but Stacy becomes a strong buy at No. 8 or any slot thereafter.
